As (Senior) Software Engineer - Cloud Services - Go Development, your focus will be on the development and provision of secure and highly available services in the company's own cloud ecosystem. You will play a key role in the Kubernetes infrastructure, write the k8s operators on which the service is based and support the further development of our client's Terraform plugins.
Another focus of your work is the support and further development of the virtualization middleware, which forms the link between the enterprise engine and the virtualization infrastructure. You will be responsible for the software that enables the provisioning of VMs at more than 90 PoPs. This includes the provisioning of virtual consoles via WebSockets or the distribution of operating system images to the PoPs.
Our client works in a distributed and agile way, relies on self-responsibility and ensures the quality of the services through sophisticated CI pipelines, automated testing and peer reviews. Through your input, your ideas and approaches to solve complex challenges efficiently and cleanly, you contribute to the joint success and the challenging and diverse tasks.

Ihre Qualifikation

You have successfully completed a technical education and/or have already gained relevant professional experience. You are characterized by an independent and reliable way of working, furthermore you are very customer- and service-oriented and attach importance to a high quality of your results.
Furthermore, you bring the following knowledge and qualifications with you:

• Expert knowledge in the area of Go (lang)
• Experience with Linux, as well as understanding of the interaction of network, operating system and software
• Routine in dealing with relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, ...)
• Ideally knowledge in handling automation tools (Ansible)
• Systematic and analytical thinking as well as high motivation to learn new technologies
• Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of German is an advantage but not necessary
