Cisco certification – what is that?

There is a way for everyone, regardless of experience, to enter the world of high end network technologies. There are three levels of Cisco certification: initially there is the ‘Associate’, the basic level of network qualification. Next there is the advanced level called ‘Professional’ and the highest qualification for network experts is the top level ‘Expert’. These three certification levels are yet again subdivided into six certification paths. Depending on the area of work there are possibilities to specialise in certain disciplines: Routing & Switching, Design, Network Security, Service Provider, Storage Networking or Voice. To help you picture the different possibilities more clearly we will describe here what the Levels signify.
